We’re delighted to announce a pioneering collaboration between Republic Insurance PLC, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, and the University of Dhaka. This partnership aims to pilot a comprehensive cattle insurance program, marking a significant stride towards enhancing the resilience of smallholder farmers in Bangladesh. The initiative is catalyzed by a strategic meeting between Dr. Suborna Barua, Chairman of Republic Insurance PLC, and Imanun Nabi Khan, Assistant FAO Representative (Programme). It will begin with a comprehensive Need Assessment Study—the “Perception of Smallholder Farmers on CDRFI”—and proceed to stakeholder dissemination, leading into a targeted pilot rollout. Republic Insurance PLC is honored to lead this initiative, reflecting our commitment to smart, inclusive solutions for agricultural communities.     আমরা আনন্দের সঙ্গে জানাচ্ছি যে বাংলাদেশের কৃষকদের সুরক্ষা ও আর্থিক স্থিতিশীলতা নিশ্চিত করতে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে রিপাবলিক ইনসুরেন্স পিএলসি, জাতিসংঘের খাদ্য ও কৃষি সংস্থা (FAO) এবং ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। এই যৌথ উদ্যোগের লক্ষ্য হলো গবাদি পশু বীমা (Cattle Insurance) প্রজেক্টের পাইলট বাস্তবায়ন, যা দেশের কৃষি খাতে একটি নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করবে। প্রকল্পের সূচনা হয়েছে ড. সুবর্ণ বড়ুয়া, চেয়ারম্যান, রিপাবলিক ইনসুরেন্স পিএলসি এবং ইমানুন নবী খান, সহ-প্রতিনিধি (প্রোগ্রাম), FAO-এর মধ্যে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বৈঠকের মাধ্যমে। প্রকল্পটির কেন্দ্রে রয়েছে “ক্ষুদ্র কৃষকদের জলবায়ু ও দুর্যোগ ঝুঁকি অর্থায়ন ও বীমা (CDRFI) বিষয়ক ধারণা” (Perception of Smallholder Farmers on Climate and Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance (CDRFI) শীর্ষক মূল্যায়ন গবেষণা, যা নিশ্চিত করবে যে সকল সমাধান কৃষকদের বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা ও প্রয়োজনের ভিত্তিতে নির্মিত। রিপাবলিক ইনসুরেন্স পিএলসি এই উদ্যোগের নেতৃত্ব দিতে পেরে গর্বিত, যা দেশের কৃষি খাতের উন্নয়নে আমাদের স্মার্ট ও অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক কৃষি সমাধান প্রচেষ্টাকে প্রতিফলিত করে।
